Alejandro Gutiérrez Murillo
Alejandro is a Colombian Underwater Photographer. Always looking to learn and experiment with new creative methods, has focus his work around the fascinating marine world. Since 2011 is living permanently on the beautiful island of Bonaire in the Dutch Caribbean where he has been able to blend successfully two of his passions, photography and the sea.
Despite the fact that is a professional diver, most of his work has been done while free-diving (holding his breath), he’s convinced that through this technique, the approach to ocean creatures becomes more natural and the interaction and communication with them goes deeper, allowing to capture special and unique moments underwater.
Lotte Rothweiler
Lotte moved to Bonaire in 2017, but her connection to the island runs much deeper—she spent part of her childhood here, where her love for the ocean first began. Shortly after returning as an adult, she discovered her passion for photography and dedicated herself to mastering the art.
Blending her creativity with her lifelong affinity for the sea, Lotte focuses on capturing the vibrant marine life and serene seascapes that make Bonaire so unique. Her work reflects not just technical skill but a profound connection to the underwater world, offering viewers a glimpse into its beauty through her lens.
When she’s not exploring the reefs with her camera, Lotte enjoys sailing Bonaire’s turquoise waters, embracing the island’s natural beauty and tranquil rhythms.

Floor van Schalkwijk
Floor moved to Bonaire from her home country of The Netherlands in 2018. Haunted by the beauty of it’s reefs she spent some time teaching scuba diving for different dive schools on the island. She had experience as a photographer on land, but underwater required a whole new set of skills that quickly developed with dedication and passion. Floor loves capturing “first time moments” on the ocean whether it is snorkeling or diving so they can be kept and shared.
Besides photography she also participates actively in other environmental projects and programs with Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire and Wildconscience.
Melissa Lington
Melissa has called Bonaire home since 2013. From the moment she arrived, she felt an irresistible pull toward the sea. Fascinated by the diverse marine life, she taught herself freediving, allowing her to immerse herself in the underwater world and witness its beauty firsthand.
Her passion for the ocean soon led her to a career in watersports, where she could share this experience with others. Seeing the wonder on people’s faces as they snorkel for the first time is a moment she treasures.
Now, as an underwater photographer, Melissa captures these unforgettable experiences, bringing the magic of the ocean to life through her lens.
